The first Free Yoga by Oysho event in Italy took place in Milan on Saturday with the support of the city. Nearly 2,000 people came to the masterclass in Parco Sempione, making it the largest free yoga event ever held in Italy.
In addition to being a model and TV presenter, Fiammetta Cicogna is also a massive yoga fan, and headed up the event: the fun, active urban yoga class was dynamic and exciting. Together with Xuan-Lan Trinh, one of the three cofounders of the Free Yoga project, two internally-renowned teachers, Anna Inferrera and Giselle Bridger, guided students through the masterclass while the city around them suddenly fell evocatively quiet. Kitted out in a limited edition product line designed by Oysho especially for the event, the participants followed the group lesson with pure concentration which enabled them to achieve a state of peace and inner wellbeing in the leafy heart of Milan even though the city’s hustle and bustle continued around them.
The Milan masterclass was the second Free Yoga by Oysho event this year. The previous one was held in Plaza Mayor, Madrid, on 24th May. Next time it will be the turn of Barcelona on 4th October, which will play host for the third year running.
