The Italian Resuscitation Council (IRC) was set up in October 1994 with the primary objective of promoting the organisation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and its teaching in Italy, and has now selected Connexia to manage its PR and i-PR activities.
IRC has over 6,000 active members and works with doctors and nurses that are involved with cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The Council also continues to reach out to lay people as part of its objective to raise public awareness about such a vitally important subject: knowing how to promptly recognise if someone is having a cardiac arrest and how to respond effectively in such an emergency with first aid.
The Doxa Group’s digital experience agency will be promoting awareness activities for the IRC featuring many appointments and events with the public that complement the work done by other similar professional national and international organisations and in particular with the European Resuscitation Council.
By managing the IRC’s PR and digital PR activities Connexia will support the IRC’s communications and increase opportunities for media visibility, especially when major events and initiatives are being held, such as the annual congress and Viva!, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation week which was organised following a call from the European Parliament for a cardiac arrest awareness week aimed at improving the awareness and education of the general public, physicians and healthcare professionals with regard to cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
“It is a real honour to be able to work with the Italian Resuscitation Council (IRC) as it does an incredible job and has always striven to raise awareness about cardiopulmonary resuscitation,” said Simone Cremonini, Connexia’s Client Services Director. “The IRC is a shining example of technical training, real-life experience and true professionalism: we are confident with our assistance that the IRC will become better known and benefit from greater visibility so that it can accomplish important goals and reach an even wider audience.”
“We are delighted that we can count on the professionalism of an agency like Connexia,” said Federico Semeraro, the Chairman of the IRC, “After twenty-two years of initiatives to raise awareness about cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the IRC has tasked the communication experts with helping us to optimise how we reach and engage the general public with our messages.”
