Social Media Advertising

illycaffè wanted to run a social advertising campaign to generate awareness and increase traffic to its website.

Connexia produced a custom-designed social advertising project for the brand’s Facebook and Instagram channels, and handled the media planning, campaign, creative work and reporting.

The artist Max Petrone was tasked with visually telling the story of the different stages of the illy journey and chose to start each story by pouring a cup of coffee onto a blank canvas.

Six visual works of art planned on Instagram and six 30-second videos for Facebook that told the backstory of the works or art.

The two Marquee carousel ads on Instagram got 3 million views and reached 2 million people in just one day, plus 22% more followers were generated in two months.

The reach and frequency ads on Facebook reached 6 million people and had 3.5 million video views.

A sponsored video campaign with 4,316,051 people reached by the ads, 3,110,843 video views and a total of about 6,000 new fans.
