The official opening of the illy flagship store in Milan

We organised an event for illycaffè, the brand whose coffee is loved by millions across five continents for its high quality and unmistakable velvety, full bodied taste, and it was a resounding success.

illycaffè wanted the official opening of the first Italian illy flagship store to be as successful and smoothly run as possible so it appointed Connexia to manage the event.

In addition to providing the concept and carefully managing the opening, we proposed a series of correlated promotional initiatives, including live tweeting and PR and digital PR activities. The new flagship store is right in the heart of the city in Piazza Gae Aulenti, in the Porta Nuova district, and we hired a famous DJ to provide entertainment for the official opening. Bloggers, trade journalists and high-profile figures from the Milanese scene turned out in force, including the Mayor of Milan and some leading exponents from the Altagamma foundation.
