In a bid to increase the visibility of the brand and its stars in non-sports media in Italy, NBA Italia wants to increase user engagement on its Facebook page and bolster the sales of official NBA merchandise.
As the communication partner for NBA Italia since 2011, Connexia proposed ongoing press office activities that included managing PR and digital PR, organising speaking opportunities for the NBA management, and managing the brand’s social profiles in Italy.
We also helped the client to organise custom-designed events throughout Italy, such as the NBA Fan Zone, NBA 3X, NBA Global Games and NBA Europe Live.
Results: articles were up by 40% in sports publications and by 48% in non-sports publications, over 100,000 downloads of the NBA Game Time app in Italy in 2014, and the number of organic fans on the FB page increased by 315%.
