Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia

Social Strategy & Digital PR

Social Media Strategy - Golivefvg

The Friuli Venezia Giulia region wanted to promote its tourism offering online and on social media in Italy and throughout Europe so it requested our professional digital consulting services.

Connexia proposed monitoring web activity and sentiment and identifying the key influencers in tourism-related sectors – the mountains, wellness, and food and drink – using the role and experience of local ambassadors on a regional and nationwide level so that support could be provided with the creation of unique, relevant content to promote Friuli Venezia Giulia in European countries

Original content and social channels were promoted and overseen by local influencers/bloggers in the target countries.

We planned the activation and coordinated management of Facebook, Twitter, G+ and Pinterest social channels for each of the target countries, the redesign of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Blog and the activation of the VKontakte channel in Russia; this was backed up by targeted advertising activities, which were also organised for all the FB channels.

Eight countries were involved in the project (Germany, Austria, France, Holland, Belgium, Russia, Spain and Italy); 24 social channels were activated; over 50,000 online conversations featured positive sentiment; and over 2,500 posts in three months.

Connexia won the 16th Assorel Award for the Friuli Venezia Giulia – golivefvg project; this is the most coveted award in public relations and recognises the best public relations campaign.
