Excellent results for MyBabyClick by Prénatal, the online photo contest designed by Connexia for Prénatal, the largest european chain of stores specialized in sailing products for mom and baby.
Through a Facebook app, developed by Connexia, Prénatal aimed to engage the online parental community of Italy, Spain and Portugal by collecting photos of their children in six different categories.
Each photo could be shared with the community by email or Facebook and Twitter, in order to increase votes and reach the photo shortlist judged by a special Prènatal jury.
The contest registered the participation of 270.000 users, among which 150.000 users in Italy, 74.000 in Portugal and 29.000 in Spain, and more than 35.000 photos uploaded.
The MyBabyClick Facebook app reached a peak of 19.000 unique visitors in a day.
Thanks to this initiative, Prénatal obtained excellent results for its brand awareness: the brand official Facebook pages in Italy, Spain and Portugal registered an increase of their fanbase of 88%, with 39.000 new fans.
The fanbase of Prénatal page in Italy increased of 23.000 new fans: 54% of them was generated by the buzz online about the contest, only 46% was generated by advertising activities.
